2007 LOTUS FESTIVAL

Liz (ISESILA), Paul (EPC) and Marie - (PlatinumPR)
The 35th Annual Lotus Festival in Echo Park was a tremendous success, Fire Marshall's estimated that almost 100,000 people attended the three day event.
The Chamber of Commerce was amongst this years' sponsors and just two weeks prior to the event President Mitchell Frank sent an email blast to Chamber members encouraging them to pony up the dough needed to cover the cost of the Free Bus Tours of Echo Park which runs in conjunction with the Festival.
The response of our members was incredible, raising almost $3500 in about a week, and we can all feel justifiably proud. On Saturday afternoon, Cynthia Merino accepted beautiful Lotus Festival Ceramic award on behalf of the Chamber for our sponsorship efforts.
A special thanks too, to Rosie (Primerica Financial Services), Grace (Young Ladies of the Lake), Alison (independent contractor looking to open soon in Echo Park), Beth (neato) and Ken (Silverwood Properties) for working at our booth on Saturday and making it a great success.
